W/E 15th April 2018 – Match Reports

Today we had one senior game and two junior games.

The seniors played their last game of the season against Highbury. The season’s objectives were already met so it was an opportunity to give some young players some valuable regional league experience.

Our u11s and 13s took the well trod route to Snodland to take part in the semi finals of the Kent cup, so places in the final were up for grabs.

First up our u11s who faced Bearsted. We had added an additional training session last Friday and we looked at how to defend well as well as attack more effectively and it certainly paid off.

We got off to the best possible start scoring two unanswered goals and working really hard to limit Bearsted to few chances. We scored a third goal before half time and just as well as both defences were on top in the second half chances became fewer and neither team managed to score. It was great to see the team do so well and they were delighted to have earned their place in the final of the Kent cup. Really well done all.

Our u13s took on Kingfisher in their semi final. We had worked really hard on how to defend and window did that pay off.

The entire squad was on top form despite half of the running off the football pitch and rushing to get to the game just in time.

We played a superb game, taking our chances and limiting Kingfisher to very few. We also rebounded fantastically well. Every player played their part in one of the best performances of the season winning 11-1 to join our u9s and 11s in finals on the 20th may.

Very proud of you all and looking forward to our day out in Sittingbourne in may.
