So today we had 4 games with seniors and juniors in action.

First up our 2nd team who travelled to Tooting for a 10.30 encounter with Bec 3 currently in 3rd place in league 2. Our new look 2nd team included new signing Luke James. it was a tough game against a well drilled team. first half was very tight with the lead changing hands. at half time Bec went in with a 2 goal lead so we knew we were going to have step up our game and we had a plan. second half was tight and going into the last 10 we were down by one but we stepped up and slotted some great goals to take a 3 goal lead into the last 3, Bec pulled one back but we held out for a 12-14 win, our first of the season. thank to all who made it to the game and to Luke who scored 5 on his Bromley debut.

Next up or 3rds against Bec 5 but due a large number for players missing we couldn’t field a legal team so played a friendly/development game. it was a nice game for both teams played in the right spirit. Bec won it 10-9. thanks to those who made the game possible.

After a dash home for a quick sandwich we headed off down the M20 for 2 junior games.

First up our u11s who took on Bearsted. A win would take our team back to the top of the league. the first half was a very tight affair and nothing between the teams. at half time we wanted the kids to settle as they looked very anxious and after a few well timed jokes the smiles returned and the team played really well coming into the last minute we scored the winning goal. Great result team!

Last up our u13s who were scheduled to take on Kingfisher Eagles (2nd team) who fair to say looked very much like then first team but as we discussed you just play the team in front of you. recent games have been tight and at times tetchy games and today’s was tight. neither team managed to dominate and both made a lot of errors turning the ball over as a result. We had many chances to win the game including a few penalties. the final score was a very respectable 4-4 draw. well done to Jude who stepped in a short notice and Kush who stayed on to give us a sub. Great support as normal.
