Today was another busy day of korfball at Bromley korfball club. Our first team took on Bec 2 at trinity school in the London regional league.
This is our third game against one of last year’s top three teams. We were again missing a few key players though this gave coach butters the opportunity have another look at some up and coming youth talent. The pre-game team talk focused on the performance.
The first half was a real revelation with Bromley keeping the game close and pushing hard against a Bec team with a lot of national league and international experienced players.
We were competing in all areas and our young players didn’t look out of place. The second half was just as good with every player demonstrating the fight and desire to give all for the team.
Well done Daniel, Georgia and Daniel our trio of u15 players as well Sean and ed. Nice goals from Hannah too.
The afternoon saw our juniors take part in a London event at Harris Beckenham. Our u9s, 11s and 13s took on teams from Bec, nomads and Trojans in an afternoon of excellent korfball..
First up two u9 teams and they impressed with their passing and movement. Some great goals and excellent team work.
Second our u11s who kept the high standard going and remained unbeaten throughout the afternoon. Again some great team work.
Lastly three under 13 teams we had a wealth of experience on display. We had Oscar, James and Sophie from nomads who were also great on the day.
Each team played extremely well.
Thanks to the parents for giving up their time and to our korfball friends for joining us today.
