A busy day of junior korfball to report on today. Our U11s had a triple header to decide on finalists for the Kent cup.
First up Bromley took on Bearsted 2nd team and got off to a flying start and never looked back. We had many shooting chances that wouldn’t drop for us on the first 5 minutes before the team found their range and then the flood gates opened. The passing was exceptional so all the hard work in training paid off. The team took the points with an amazing 16-1 win. Next up Tornadoes a much tougher prospect. The first half was a tight affair with the lead changing hands. Half time allowed the coaches to give their input and the team went out and put in a Stirling performance. They looked great and took some great shots that sealed the win 12-6.This win secured our place in the Kent cup final. Our last game therefore was more of a practice game. Bearsted got out of the blocks quickly and scored some early goals that set the tone for the first half. 6-1 down at half time. Our excellent passing had deserted us and we have the ball away cheaply. Second half was a different story, we finally got going and played to our usual standard and brought the score back to 8-5 but ran out of time. well done team you were great today and happy birthday Natalie, 21 again
