W/E 26th November 2017 – Match Reports

The weekend round-up is a little different this week. On Saturday ten Bromley players represented team London in a new initiative from England korfball, county vs country. So two games at Whitgift school saw 5 u15s and 5 u13s take on England finest.

Both games we fantastic and london really competed well did us proud. Whilst the results were never in doubt we showed, real skill fantastic attitude and character and lost by 3. The second game saw the score line extended by the England team. It was a great opportunity for our players and they responded. Thanks Rob and colleagues for the invitation.

Ok back to the Sunday leagues. This was one occasion when both London and Kent leagues clashed so all hands to the pump.

If you counted the Hayes school teams we had 11 teams in action though Hayes compete in their own right but we run the school club.

So teams of u9s, 11s and 13s all took to the field. With Bromley finishing 1st and 3rd and Hayes 2nd and 5th in the u9s league.

U11s saw Hayes come top with Bromley and Hayes also coming 3rd

U13s saw Bromley come out on top

In the Kent league we had both u9s and 13s in action.

Our u9s had a fantastic game against Bearsted and we’re unlucky not to take full points as Bearsted equalised in the last minute to share the points 3-3.

Last up our u13s who were taking on Kingfisher who we drew 6-6 with recently. We looked solid today and for off to a great start and never gave up the lead despite real pressure from Kingfisher. We took the points with a 5-3 win. At least until the tornadoes game we were top of the league.

Lastly we’d like to say well done to Lucie temple and Elissa Demetriou being awarded Jack Petchey awards.

Lastly we can confirm a Hayes v Bromley parents game in the calendar. What a great initiative. Well done Natalie for getting us over the line with everything today and to our team managers and parents.

Lastly why not bring the kids along to watch our 2nds and 3rds play each other in a league game at Langley boys school on Wednesday evening at 7.30.
