W/E 27th October 2019 – Match Reports

This week our senior teams travelled the short distance to play Croydon at Royal Russell.

Our 2nd team were first up bouyed by beating Croydon 3 the previous week but under no illusions as to the scale of the challenge. With an average age of 14 our youthful team struggled to get to grips with a seasoned croydon team. I will say this though these young players learned a lot from the game and were happy to share their insights and experiences at the subsequent training session. You will be better for this experience.

Our 1st team then stepped up to take on Croydon’s 1sts. This was always going to be a tough game in every sense. We were missing our iconic goal scorer luke James but it didn’t seem to unsettled. Captain Mark drew slotted in goals from downtown to get up and running. With things looking positive Croydon woke up and bagan to claw themselves back into the game. It was tight at half time and again croydon stepped up closing the gap but Bromley stood strong and took the points in what was a very important game in the context of our season.
