No senior korfball this weekend but plenty of junior korfball to report on.
First up our littlest stars the u9 team. Today they took on Tornadoes a team we hadn’t yet played this season. It was a really tough game as Tornadoes did a good job in defence. We pushed on and began to move the ball with speed and the chances came and we took them. We played some great korfball and showed great teamwork and took the points with a 4-2 win.
Next up our u11s who also faced Tornadoes. We talked about the game and our plan before we started and when the whistle blew we set about our task with style and amazing skill. The great thing about this team is that every player can score and do the hard work in defence. We took a healthy lead into half time , the team talk was quite easy “more of the same”. The team delivered an even better second half. What a team, real quality and an amazing work ethic, game won 13-1 points taken, onwards and upwards team.
Last and by no means least our u13s who faced Bearsted who gave us a really tough game on our last outing.
We got off to a great start thanks to Olivers two great opening goals. We never looked back and gave 100% in every department.
As with the u11s the half time team talk was more of the same. Second half was tight but yet again the team responded with everyone stepping up. Great captains performance from Isabel who was majestic and a nice goal. Well done everyone very proud of everyone of you today 9-2 win and super performance.
