W/E 3rd March 2019 – Match Reports

Ok a busy day for Bromley Senior and Junior teams as well as Bromley players representing their universities at the British Universities and College Sports korfball championship.

First up our 2nd team taking on a strong Supernova 3. It was a right first half with little between the teams and all to play for going into the break. second half saw some forced errors saw turnovers converted into goals for supernova to which we had no answer. Final score 9-15 to supernova.

Next up our 1st team faced Highbury 2. This game was all.about the result as we were determined to show what our potential is. It was a really tight and hard fought first half and despite our excellent start Highbury pulled back to stay within striking distance. After the break they pulled ahead at which point we stepped up to the mark and put in a great display scoring a club record 27 goals in the regional league and won 27-18.

It was great see our players representing their universities at the BUCS korfball championships. Nathan, Amy, Harry and Ed represented Exeter university and played against Milie representing Leeds.

Our juniors topped the day off with some exciting games in the London league. Our u9s, 11s and 13s travelled to Graveney school in Tooting and faced London teams from Bec, Nomads and Trojans.

In each age group we did extremely well with some amazing team performances. Our very young U9s really impressed against older and more experienced players. Our U11s likewise did extremely well and put great performances in showing how well they are developing. Last up our U13s – and yet again these guys played with style, determination and showed great team cohesion. We are so proud of the teams and their performances and are so proud of they way you represent all that’s good about our club. keep it up
