W/E 6th January 2019 – Match Reports

The weekend saw 4Bromley teams in action, our senior 1st’s and 3rd’s and our U11’s and U13’s.

Our 1st team made the trip to Hammersmith in West London to take on Supernova 2 in a bottom of the league clash. We did so without key players so an even more youthful team. it started really well we did looked strong. we went into the half time break 2 up. second half though didn’t quite match the first and Supernova pushed hard and took the points with a 13-11 win.

Next up our U13s first game of the day. We faced Bearsted who beat us in our last meeting. we were bolstered by having Isaac back after appendicitis. From the beginning we looked really strong and determined and got off to a good start with 2 unanswered goals and from there we never looked back and dominated the game. Great performances by all and great shooting with Jack bagging 4. it was a very sporting game and showed all that’s good about korfball.

Next up our U11s taking on Bearsted Rams. Bearsted played with 7 boys rather than the 50/50 not girl split but we play the team in front of us. Great performance by all with Elisa and Alexa scoring most if the goals kieron did a great job in defence and a well deserved 4-1 win.

Next up our u13s who took on Kingfisher. A niggly game is the best I can say about it. Very proud of the attitude and approach to the game by the Bromley players. Sadly result didn’t go our way but sometimes there’s a greater win to be had, proud of you all guys.

Lastly our 3rds travelled to Royal Russell to take on a strong looking Croydon 4. we were bolstered with Georgia our guest from the 1st team. We hit the ground running , literally and began our scoring bonanza. there were battles all over the pitch, Leon and Georgia against the husband/wife Jeanes combo. After 5 minutes the pattern of the game was set with solid defence and great shooting. this was one of the best performances by a Bromley team I’ve seen this season. the entire team played so well and gave 100% for the team. Well played Teo on scoring an amazing 8 goals but again everyone else who contributed to a 8-17 win.

Happy Days.
